After a very busy December (filled with copious amounts of food and drink) I thought it would do me good to take a step back from everything and escape up into the moors for the day.

I love the fact that it only takes a twenty minute drive for me to be surrounded by such beautiful scenery.

2014 has been interesting. Definitely ended up totally different to what I planned, but I now realise that it was 100% for the best.

I am so excited for 2015, I think it is going to be great.

The colours in these pictures are speaking to me so much.

Cornered.

I've been experimenting with different back drops for outfit posts this week and I think I have finally settled on a spot! To get in this corner though I have move everything out from under my bed and then pull my bed out, whilst navigating past my other furniture...a faff on to say the least!

Anywho, today's look is dead simple. T-shirt and trousers and pointy shoes.
To be honest, I am more excited about showing you the new back drop! I just scramble this together so I had something half decent to take a picture of.

Catch Up.

Sunday is usually a day to take things at a slower pace and relax with a good selection of magazines and things to do. Today I have had my candles burning and Michele Buble singing Christmas songs to me, whilst I read my ELLE magazine and a few other fashion articles as well.

Mum insisted that we had to have the Christmas tree up on the 1st of December, so my house is already full of festive cheer. This wooden Father Christmas hangs on my door handle and has done every year since I can remember. I am so excited for Christmas this year; with friends coming home from university everyone will be back in one place for a few weeks so lots of merriment can be had!

When the nights draw in like they have been doing recently, I love lighting  my candles on an afternoon and setting a cosy ambience. These two have been my favourite at the moment; the red one is by Yankee Candle and is called 'Christmas Eve' and the other one is called 'Honey and Spice' (also by Yankee). They complement each other really well and make a pleasant aroma long after they have been blown out.

One item on my wish list for  Christmas is a book I saw in Waterstones named ' 100 Ideas That Change Street Style'. I am a massive fan of street style. I think that is where the greatest source of inspiration for fashion comes from; it is much less intimidating than seeing it strut down a cat walk. One day I would love to take to the streets in cities around the world, camera in hand, and snap some amazing outfits that I saw.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Reborn.

Photography has never really been of great interest to me until I created this site and naturally started taking more pictures to accommodate my blog posts. Like most people who start a blog I began by simply  using my phone camera, my awful quality and blurry phone camera. At the time I didn't see any need to upgrade; I didn't know if I would be keeping this hobby up and why waste money on something that you are hardly going to use.

Fast forward a few months and I started taking more pictures on a different phone, which had a better quality camera. This upgrade was only slight, but it made me feel a lot more confident about my content; people could start to actually see some detail in my outfits for once.

A few weeks ago I was allowed to borrow my uncles' camera, his professional ultra megapixel snazzy camera...and I was hooked. I immediately realised how much more professional it all looked. So I decided that it was definitely time to invest in a new camera.

Which lands us at the present. The here and now. From now on, all will be seen through a lens of perfection with a crystallising filter that hopefully will draw you in even more to the content I continue to create.

Hence, the idea of being 'reborn'.

...now I just have to figure out what all the buttons and clicky things do.

The model I have bought is the Nikon D3200
